Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cups multi-grain flour
- 1 tablespoon flax meal
- 3 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes (or brewer's yeast)
- 1/3 cup non-hydrogenated vegan margarine or vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup soy or rice milk
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix flour, flax meal,
baking powder, salt and nutritional
yeast flakes together. With a fork,
blend in margarine until mixture is
crumbly. Stir in "milk" until well
blended. Pat dough until 3/4" thick,
cut with cookie cutter or top of wine
glass and place close together on an
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450
degrees for 10 - 12 minutes until
golden brown on top. Serve hot.
